Enlisting the Aunts

My mother is currently on the phone with my Aunt in Los Angeles planning my wedding. Things they are discussing:
-The importance of having a family of colors, not just purple. (I didn't know purple was finalized as a color, I hope it's not Mexican purple)
-whether or not my/bridesmaid dresses will be bought or sewed
-who will be responsible for making/planning what
-how I look like Drew Barrymore so I should make sure I'm pretty like she was at her wedding.

They also started to discuss my cousin's (of said aunt) wedding. Oh Dear God... what has begun.

I think this is an attempt to justify the box of things my mother has been buying over the past 5 years for her future grandchildren. I fear for my future children almost more than I am starting to fear my non-existent as of now future wedding.

And to think this is only 1 of my SIX aunts.

-Still happily dating and not yet engaged (and totally okay with this)

I went to my boyfriend's company's Christmas party last night and his parents were there. I adore Raymond's parents. They are so kind and wonderful. His mom looks at me like I'm Christmas morning.
Last night as she was complimenting my hair or outfit she called me her "hopefully future daughter in law"
I am scared of what her and my mother might plan and plot together...

New Man New Blog

Seeing as I can no longer post on my crazy dating blog, I have finally found something blog worthy.

I started dating my amazing and wonderful boyfriend Raymond about 5 months ago. About a month ago my mother decided she would start planning my wedding. Mind you I am not currently engaged, and although Raymond and I have talked about the subject and would like to marry each other. We are not at the point in our relationship where a proposal is in the near enough future for my mother to start making wedding arrangements. She knows this, acknowledges this and just continues her planning. I fear the day when the actual planning will start.

Anyone who has meet my mother know how wacky and funny she can be so this blog shall be decided to her persistent attempts at planning my wedding and the funny things that have come out of her mouth because of it.

Just last night she cornered me and we had an hour discussion about when said wedding will take place (late summer or fall), where (at my cousins, but what part of the property, surely not where the sheep and llama are), finalizing who officially I will ask to be my flower girls (there are 7 on her list so far) and my possible color themes (teal and purple are making a comeback, but not mexican purple)
